This is dedicated to our adored Mrs. Katherine Jackson, mother of our beloved King of Pop, Michael Joseph Jackson, my grandmother, Judith Hernandez, mother of Suzanne Larae Carmona (my mother), my aunt Anita Martinez, mother of Antonio Jose Garner (my cousin), and to all mothers who have ever had to lay a child to rest too soon. May these women be blessed by God and may those blessings bring them peace and comfort during such a difficult time.
A Mother's Greatest Gift is Her Greatest Loss
You watch your child grow thru the years,
And with that comes an abundance of joy and fears.
Times filled with hope, laughter, anger, and sorrow,
With the biggest hopes "it'll be better tomorrow."
Though you always mean to be your child's guide,
There will come a time you'll have to leave their side.
You stand gazing, confident you "raised them right."
So, reluctantly you let them out of your sight.
But as it goes, you cannot control what is to be,
A burdening question, "why before me?!"
Your beautiful child's life so horribly betrayed,
You stand saddened, anger, down right outraged.
As a mother, you always provided a secure nest,
But how do you lay your child down to an eternal rest?
You think and wonder "how dare death come and intrude?"
Had you known, would you have accepted motherhood?
You soon realize with a peaceful nod,
Your beloved child was a borrowed gift from God.
And though it seems your grief will never cease,
Find comfort that your child rests in eternal peace.

These angels have returned Home. Blessed are those who are in our Divine Maker's presence.
With each evening that the Heavens fill with stars, we know you're watching over us. And as we gaze back, we shall softly whisper...until we meet again.
